This pool in Northeast Austin has served the Windsor Park, Mueller, and Preswyck Hills neighborhoods since 1961.
It was condemned and closed in 2009 and was rebuilt in the same location in 2014. The current facilities consist of two water slides and three separate pools, which make water-time accessible to people of many ages and abilities.
Maintenance supervisor Paul Slutes says the new Bartholomew pool runs so well, it’s the “Rolls Royce of Austin’s Aquatics system.”
